bump

How much time did you spend planning your wedding day, finding then purchasing your first home or organising a milestone birthday event? Did you rock up on the day saying to yourself 'I'll just wing it and see what happens?' Chances are you spent weeks, if not months, fine-tuning the smallest of details to get as close to what you wanted as possible.

The birth of your baby and the postpartum period is right up there with one of those life-changing events, multiplied by ten, and yet we don't prepare for them with anywhere near as much time or effort.

A bump & glide birth preparation course is a comprehensive course using KG Hypnobirthing (a complete antenatal training course accredited by The Royal College of Midwives) which will provide you with a 'toolbox' for birth. In addition to preparing for birth I share my passion and knowledge for the postnatal period too enabling couples to feel confident about the adventure ahead.

There is no right or wrong way to give birth. A birth preparation course, mine or anyone else's, doesn't promise you'll achieve your idea of 'a perfect birth', nobody can promise that. What it will do however is give you the knowledge and tools you need to feel confident and in control of your experience instead of it controlling you and have the information at your fingertips to make informed decisions every step of the way.

A birth preparation course using KG hypnobirthing techniques is for all types of births, whether you have a vaginal delivery or a c-section (planned or unplanned), the techniques acquired on this course will enable you to come away with a positive memory of your baby's birth, and of the birth of you as a mother.

Below are a few of the things a bump & glide course will provide you with:

  • An understanding of the mind-body connection

  • A demo on how your uterus works during labour and birth

  • Highly effective breathing techniques

  • Relaxation scripts

  • How to release fear and replace it with confidence

  • The important role of the birth partner!

  • How a woman's body is designed to give birth

  • The importance of the pelvic floor muscles

  • Information on what you're 'allowed' to do

  • Finding out what an induction means

  • The fallacy of the 'due date'

  • Place of birth options

  • Stages of labour information

  • Essential information on the postpartum period for both the mother and her birth partner
