Strength

“Smile and let everyone know that today, you are a lot stronger than you were yesterday” -unknown- There are hundreds of ways to explain what strength is. Here are a few I would like to share after conversations I’ve had with family, friends and complete strangers over the past few months… Strength doesn’t have a specific age group, gender, nationality or body shape. Strength is accepting that hug when you need it. Strength is keeping your cool when you’re being screamed at by an overwhelmed toddler. Strength is making decisions based on what really matters to you. Strength is putting the pieces back together when your heart has been broken. Strength is sometimes saying ‘no’. Strength is choosing to birth the way you want to birth.

Strength is looking life in the face and saying: ‘Let’s do this!’ Life isn’t easy, if it were then it wouldn’t be a challenge, or hugely interesting for that matter! However, sometimes the challenges it does throw at us do require us to show an increased level of strength, a level we don’t always know we have until it’s needed.

“The struggle you’re in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow.”
