Encouragement

“Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.” - Arthur Ashe When do you need the most encouragement, when you’re soaring or when you’re struggling… or both? When does it matter to you most, and why? Encouragement can come in all shapes and sizes. What, or who, encourages you? Perhaps you’ll be nodding at one or more of the below examples…

* An understanding and encouraging smile.. * Someone taking the time to listen to you, and really hear what’s being said - (phones/screens down and eyes up).. * Being offered help with a task.. * Getting a hug (Those who know me well will know this is a favourite of mine as hugs have SO many benefits - more of that in another post soon!) * Receiving a heart-felt thank you for something you’ve done… * Hearing words of encouragement when you’re having a tough time and feel like giving up.. Such as ‘You’re doing brilliantly, keep going!’, ‘Look how you did that, that’s amazing, well done!’, and more… * Seeing others achieve their dreams.. * Your other half, a parent, a sibling, your child(ren), a friend? When we feel encouraged we can go that little bit further in what we’re trying to achieve, whether it’s a new project at work, setting up a new business, saving money for a special event or purchase, giving birth (especially!!). If you’re giving something your absolute all and someone does or says something to knock your confidence, go somewhere else, find someone else to encourage you… only then can you soar!

Try and surround yourself with people who want to see you do well, they’re the ones who will encourage you wholeheartedly. Every. Step. Of. The. Way…
