Noise

Over the past few months life has become increasingly noisy. Opinions, advice, information, children at home 24/7, so many sources, some factual, some not, books, articles, TV, Radio, social media, podcasts, the list goes on.. We are forever surrounded by a lot of noise and it can be difficult to quiet our minds to focus on what’s important.

Couples I’ve spoken with and taught over the past months have often mentioned a heightened level of anxiety and more often than not their anxiety stems from what they’ve heard, what they’ve been told by well-meaning family or friends, or what they’ve read in the news or on social media.

It’s not easy to block noise out, it takes practice.

KG Hypnobirthing also takes practice, practice and more practice. The more you learn how your body is designed to give birth, how the techniques help you regardless of where and when you go into labour, how important it is to feel safe, unobserved, uninterrupted and relaxed for labour to progress as it should, the better, and the more positive, your experience will be.

By learning how to block out the unwanted noise in our lives, and our labours, we can have a much more positive and empowering experience, of life and birth.

We are lucky to have a whole host of books and articles, videos, interviews and more on the subject of hypnobirthing but if you’re feeling overwhelmed by it all and don’t know where to start, a 1:1 bespoke course for couples with either myself, or another practitioner, will give you the knowledge and support you need to feel more confident about your pregnancy, labour and birth. “Deep inside you know what you need to do. Everything else is just background noise.” - Unknown
